Senior Partner

William B. Ross, Founder, has a unique combination of business sense, artistic talents, and consulting expertise. As Design For You's General Contractor, he measures success based on the customer experience and the quality of the craftsmanship. As the Senior Design Consultant, he leads the design team in offering distinctive, creative solutions for the clients. He is committed to team collaboration, client involvement and customer satisfaction. William and his team are building Design For You in the belief that the customer experience is the most important aspect of the project — and, in order for the customer to have an outstanding experience, the quality of the work must be exemplary.

William spent the early part of his career with GE's Medical Systems Division (GEMS) as a Region Manager for the Ultrasound Business. He has been grounded in GE's values of quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. The balance of his career prior to starting Design For You was as an organizational development consultant, first with Kenexa and then The Results Group, Inc. where he focused on leadership development and executive coaching. Some of his clients included GE Medical Systems, Tenneco Automotive, and Toshiba.

Design For You was first conceived while William was attending graduate school at Northwestern University. While working on a Masters in Learning and Organizational Change, William did research into the design principles that affect the productivity of people who work from home offices. Three case studies later, he had clients clamoring for more — thus the birth of Design For You

William's unique perspective on leadership along with Design For You's “tribal” culture is chronicled in the book “Tribal Leadership” (Logan, King, Fischer-Wright, 2007 Harper Collins) alongside companies like Apple Computer, IDEO, NASCAR, The Men's Warehouse, The Gallup Organization and individuals like Scott Adams (creator of Dilbert) and Carol Burnett (TV legend).
