Evolving from a Graduate School project at Northwestern University, Design For You is truly built around the customer experience. This project was very successful and the clients so receptive that within a few months we became a bona fide business. Early clients began to contract with Design For You for our exemplary service and customer satisfaction. From there, customer referrals significantly propelled the business forward.

Design For You's initial focus was on home office design and remodeling. Within two years the company was doing complete home interior design/build construction projects including kitchens, baths, custom built-ins, and complete home renovations. Word of mouth has allowed Design For You to double in size every year since our inception in 2002.

The first four years Design For You operated without marketing — all of our business came from referrals or repeat clients. This is a testament to the quality of our workmanship, our ability to stay on time and on budget, our commitment to an outstanding customer experience, as well as our personal relationships with our clients. It's that relationship which fosters design collaboration with our clients, enabling us to create and deliver a finished product that truly fits the customer's lifestyle and vision — our motto is:

“Consult, Design, Create, Deliver — Your Lifestyle, Your Vision!”

Design For You is unique in its approach to general contracting. We apply business principles which are fundamentally grounded in best practices of project management, quality control, organizational development, financial efficiency, and effective, honest communication. The Design For You team is a synergistic combination of business experience, consulting expertise and artistic talent. This synthesis of interests and capabilities gives us the competitive advantage over other general contractors.
